end-of-winter (please!) update

Just some recent happenings…

- Still fighting some sort of respiratory infection… been sick on and off since November and getting tired of it!

+ Gatorade, helps me stay hydrated and full of electrolytes. Joe bought me 12 bottles and “pre-opened” them all for me (I am generally not talented when it comes to opening jars and bottles, but these ones were especially killer). He’s been taking good care of me even though I haven’t been any fun to be around, so I give him a lot of credit for that. (I’m a big grouchy complainer when I’m sick, should probably work on that).

+ That said, I am feeling tons better than I have been the last few weeks, so I’m looking forward to actually doing something fun this weekend instead of being cooped up in bed all day! Plus, Metro is putting a halt on weekend track work for the next four weeks. No more 30 min delays, hurray!

+ MOMA has a really cool online art exhibition called Color Chart. It runs until May 12th. Check it out!

+ I got accepted into UBC’s SLAIS! Exciting, but also means that I will soon need to change my mindset from “Let’s wait and see what happens…” to “Which decision is best?” If UBC becomes my best option, that means I might not be in DC for too much longer, and I feel a little mixed about that. Not that I had planned to be here long-term anyway, so maybe I’ll feel ready when the time comes? UBC is also 1/3 of the cost of my American option, which is quite attractive for someone who still has about 12 years of undergraduate loan payments to make.
