+ Joe and I walked around Georgetown yesterday and discovered Book Hill Park (tiny, tiny park that isn’t really indexed anywhere, not even mentioned as a Georgetown attraction). We also found a wonderful Argentinian gelato place called Dolcezza. Tried their pistachio and grapefruit flavors. Yummy! I definitely want to go back, as their flavors change with the seasons. Apparently they’re also at the weekly Dupont farmer’s market (a 10-minute walk from my place!), but the hours conflict with church (Sunday mornings).
+/- I am supposed to tell UBC whether I will accept their offer of admission by this Friday. I won’t be hearing back from UW until Thursday. What a pickle! This means, if I get into UW, I will have one day to make a decision (and right now I am equally torn). I wish it was as easy as “whoever gives me more money wins.”
+ I love working for a library that is part of a consortium and also an OCLC ILL member. It’s awesome being able to access almost any book I want for free! Speaking of books, you can see what I’m reading (and share your recommendations!) on Goodreads.
